Mine does that also.
Some how i dont think the stock vanagon gauge is
calibrated to the tiico but im no expert. Id like to
bypass and get a digital qauge. I am definatly
changing my thermostat from an 87C to an 80C becouse
im in Florida. Maybe an oversized radiator would be
the key or bigger fan blade/motor.
