Currently looking at a Jetta TDI engine for the '89 Wolf.....will advise.
I love the '89 2.1 automatic, hauls all my supplies for summer work and I
can sleep in it if needed on those long runs. Again, hard to substitute
this vehicle, plus I can mostly keep up with traffic as opposed to my '66
panel which served same purpose previous to the Vanagon. Same run in the
'66 was much longer than 8 hours!
