reminds me of a ski trip i took in college
the front clamp arm of the ski rack on my buddy's truck broke so we clamped
the skis in the back clamp and tied them to the front crossbar
as we were driving home people kept honking and waving and flashing their
lights
we would honk and wave back thinking they were just other college kids
having a good time
after this happened a few too many times, i decided to lean out the window
and check things out on the roof (no fair pulling over to the side on a road
rip!)
i found that the string in front had snapped and the skis were standing
straight up in the air, held only by the rear clamp!
it was hilarious at the time, but thank god no one was hurt - especially the
idiot leaning out the window at 60mph!
anyway - be careful and double check things stored on the roof
serious personal injury could result if you try to make your wife lean out
the window at 60mph!
