I agree for the most part that the Sharan van is pretty darn ugly, at least it
is very mainstream looking. I do know that they also did a limited number of
them that were in partnership with Porsche that were 4wd and had some
ridiculously high horsepower number. I would almost live with the looks for one
of those rides. Also when looking at ideas for the next bus make sure and get
your sources straight. The pictures that were in Hot VW's (which were awesome)
were simply an artists rendition of what he thought the new Bus should look
like. It had nothing to do with VW' plans. The only idea I have seen that
actually came from VW was in an Autoweek and it looked alot like an extended
slightly bigger 4 door New Beetle. It was sort of cool looking but nothing to
get really excited about. I will keep the Vanagon for now...and my 60 Crew
Cab...and the 73 Thing...and if we can just qualify for that construction loan
I may get to hold on to the Turbo Quantum Syncro for a little while longer (it
is really good for that horsepower fix).
