    Julio, welcome aboard the Vanagon List.  Hope you find a real good one
that will serve your family well.  I have an '87 Westy, for 7 years now, been
on this list that long, YIKES !  Have learned tons of stuff. and would not
part with my Westy for anything else.  Water-cooled is definitely the way to
go.  MORE RELIABLE heat.  There are some problems related to the cooling

best body, as it will last longer if it's protected properly.  Mechanical

need to be dealt with.  Your much better off paying less for a really good
bodied one with mechanical problems and then having those problems dealt with
in the proper fashion than the other way round.  This way you know more or
less where the mechanical state of you van is from the outset.  Good luck and
happy hunting.  I keep track of Westys for sale in the Ottawa area, a bit far
from you to be of much value.  Anyways the ones around here usually have some
kind of undesirable rust on them.  You should be able to find a good rust
free or close to rust free one in the Vancouver area. >>
