Automatic is said to be stronger than the manual and can better take a
stonger engine... - though I don't know if this true for all years...
80-83.5, 83.5-85, 86-91 - (I'm certain its true for the last set: 86-91)....
Isn't the lower end of the engine more expensive to have redone than the top
end???
