Donna,
My cell phone... cheap... works in many places.... sometimes even 50 miles
off the pavement up on a mesa in Utah... 'up' being the operative word... if
you're not on the highway you need to be 'up' to get reception... I've been
told the cell phone network is targeted to cover all the highways in the
U.S.... and that AT&T's coverage is the best...
Dunno about pagers, but if they have coverage it would likely be the
cheapest way to go... but if you're not near a phone it could take a while
to answer a page...
