Being a vendor of Volkswagen parts, I can state that it is very simple to
puch in a credit card number, put a address on a box and ship the parcel
out the door. There is very little interaction between me and the UPS guy
or the Postie (Mail delivery person)... C.O.D. involves a lot of time
between the vendor and the carrier the vendor uses. For me it is even more
complicated as I can't ship C.O.D. into the USA. Acually most people who
want to buy something are quite happy to do a credit card number or send me
a cheque. The people who do request C.O.D. are not too disappointed after
learning that you can't do C.O.D. over an international boarder...
I guess the thing is, use your good judgement and take things from there.
If I could ship C.O.D. to the USA I certainly would have no problems with
doing it, call it customer service I guess, call it having a little more
time on my hands than some of the other vendors too!
Hope this helps!
